Premiere Television Commercial for the Fiasco Theater Production of Into the Woods.

Taking cues from the stage production’s stripped backed settings and minimal aesthetic, this commercial similarly utilized simplified elements to create an atmosphere of magical, uncertain, and endless possibilities. Editing this piece became all about the interplay of light, texture, and expression, crafting compositions that lent themselves to the fluid, dream-like quality of a fairy tale, while still rooted in the gritty realism of Sondheim’s take on the Grimm classics.
